54cmST(ctc)x56cmTT(ctc) Lapierre Full Reynolds 531 with Simplex $850CAD/$680 USD

Picture
Lapierre might not be well known in North America, but they have been leaders in the French bike industry for 60 years.
Behind Peugeot (which made a lot of crap along with a lot of really really great bikes - see below) Lapierre has probably been #2 in France. Actually they are probably now #1 as they periodically sponsor a Tour de France team. Peugeot it seems did have a carbon bike, but they are essentially a non-entity in the bike world these days. Lapierre rolls on.

59cm (c-c) French Artisan built, Eroica Ready with Campagnolo Nuovo Record $1500CAD/$1200USD

This is an interesting one. I got it from a fellow in Grenoble who said it had been his father's bike when he was a mechanic for a team around Paris. No brand name on it so I assume he, like most riders in that day (this is probably the early 70s?) just got a frame built at the local bike shop. He didn't know the tube material but thought it was Reynolds. The rest of the bits are amazing and in amazing , nearly new condition. Campagnolo Nuovo Record all round.
