frame shipping to the USA is about $50 USD

VINTAGE FRAMESETS
(126mm rear, limited to 5-7Spd unless you spread the frame)

49cmST 50cm TT B Carre with bits $300CAD)

Picture
Apparently Bernard Carre's workshop built many of the Peugeot professional team bikes. They are quite sought after.
  • 126mm spacing 5/6/7Spd
  • since taking these photos I have removed the handlebars and stem (just to make storage easier basically) but I am leaving installed the headset, Bottom Bracket and Stronglight crankset. (these are probably French thread and so having those in place would make someone's rebuild easier.)

  • here are some links to writeups on B. Carre

this one in French, but you can probably get it translated.

 53cmST X54cmTT ctc Restored 70s Reynolds 531 $500CAD/$400 USD

Picture
This was a classic regional frame stickered "Clarins" (which it seems was a bike shop in Toulon, France). Since it was a little far gone looks-wise, I asked Noah Rosen of Velocolour in Toronto to spruce it up a bit.  What a great job  he did.
THIS is what it looked like pre-restoration (which might have been a mistake, but what's done is done.)
  • 26mm rear spacing
  • 55cm to very top of seattube
  • headtube 128mm

54cmST X 56cmTT(ctc) "Evasion" AMR Aero7 tubing repaint $350 ($280 USD)

Picture
Another interesting item. This frame is made of unusual and rare. AMR Aero 7 Tubes Camus ovalized aerodynamic tubing. Now defunct, AMR was  a competitor to Vitus and Columbus back in the Golden Age of French bike manufacturing. These were excellent tubesets.

  • - Professionally repainted by Noah Rosen of Velocolour in Toronto a shimmering iridescent blue-green,
    - 56cm to very top of seattube|
    - Headtube 129mm

    - 126mm rear drop outs.
    - Takes a 28mm tire (and possibly up to a 32mm)

56STX56TT early Gios Torino $1000 CAD / $800 USD

Picture

This frame is unlike any I have seen. For years I could not match it to any Gios model that I could find, and so was worried it was a counterfeit. But it seemed very well made, with expensive cast Campagnolo dropouts. Also, it came with excellent top of the line Campagnolo Nuovo Record components. Why would anyone invest in Campy NR on a counterfeit frame? And the Giuos colour is right,

Finally, I sent photos off to Gios Torino in italy and got this reply (from it appears Alfredo Gios himself, one of the founders): "Dear Sir, The frame seems original but it's one of the first racing frame we made 44 years go (nearly half century!!!). AG
How Cool is THAT?

At this time I belive the headset has been removed however.

55cm ST (ctc) X 56cm TT Raleigh TEAM Reynolds 531 frame only $350CAD

Don't be fooled by the similar paint scheme. This is NOT the cheap  beater bike that Raleigh Canada flooded the market with. This frame came from Europe and was the replica of the Team model. This is quality, not junk.
  • 126mm rear spacing
  • 57cm to very top of Seattube
  • Headtube 145mm
  • Takes at least a 28mm tire (and possibly up to a 32mm)
Picture

130mm spaced rear dropouts (for modern components 8S+)

50X52 Alan cyclocross (aluminum) $350

Founded in 1972 The ALAN brand became one of  the most successful makers of early aluminum bicycles, virtually dominating the top ranks of cyclocross for 20 years.
This is a somewhat modern Alan CX model, probably from the 1990s

57ST X 57TT (c-c) Colner (70s Colnago sub-brand) $400CAD/$310 USD

This is a cool frame, with an interesting back story (or maybe two backstories). Apparently, in order to not mess with their distribution rights, Colnago branded the bikes they exported to Switzerland "Colner" (from COLNago ERnesto -get it?)
The second version of the story is that manufacturers could only  sponsor one pro team. And so Colnago created this second "brand", Colner.
Whichever version is true (or maybe both) these are quality frames, marketed by Colnago, even if they might not have been made by Colnago.

Seattube (to Seatpost insert point) 63cm. Toptube 58cm (c-c) Litespeed Titanium by David Lynskey $750 CAD / ~$575 USD

Picture
Who doesn't love titanium? This is a classic from the original David Lynksey era of Litespeed. Frameset only (frame and forks)

Optional carbon fork available to replace the original aluminum fork.  (+$200)
when considering size, remember that Ti tubes are fatter than steel so C-To this is about 61cm seattube

ST (to SP insert) 62XTT58(c-c) Cadex 980-C early carbon (frameset only) $250/$200 USD

Picture
A pretty cool curiosity. Before Giant was Giant they were Cadex. This is an early carbon model with aluminum lugs.

Some corrosion around the lugs. That's just the way it is. Doesn't affect the ride.
Frame only (I was going to finish building this up but got distracted.)
  • 130 rear spacing
  • 68mm (UK) bottom bracket
  • vertical dropouts

62x60 (c-c) Pinarello $400/$320 USD

Picture

Bianchi in EL 62effSTx59effTT 2.9kg with BB $500 CAD

Picture
If this was in very good shape it would be worth $600  or more. But it's a little tattered. (some moron covered all the tubes with sticky plastic and removing it took forever and took some small bits of paint off)
Would be ideal for a Pinarello restoration. But is also perfectly ridable now. I was going to build it up myself, but I am too backed up.
126mm spacing currently. It could be spread for 9-11S systems, but that seems a bit of a shame. Would be Eroica ready.
Interesting frame. 62cm ctc/63ctt/65ctvt (to very top of seat tube)
This style (an XL frame but with the dropped toptube and so extended seattube and headtube) is apparently called "Freuler" geometry after Swiss pro Urs Freuler for whom Colnago created this style). The result is a large frame that is also stiffer.

Could stand to be refinished though I have it built up and have been happily riding it. But in Columbus EL tubing, it's probably worth it.

60cmc-c ST Pottie in Reynolds 753 $500CAD Frame

ST (to SP insert) 63cmxTT 58 Pottie in Columbus $350 CAD

Picture
Claude Pottie was a frame builder based in the Roubaix area of North East France.
This Claude Pottie is built wtih rare Reynolds 753 tubing, which was so thin walled and delicate that only frame builders who passed the Reynolds tests were allowed to use the tubeset.
it is currently set up with 8Speed cam[agnolo Record but the price is for the Frameset (Frame and fork) only.
Picture
Again, built in northeastern France by regional frame builder Claude Pottie (he went back into commercial plumbing because frame building didn't pay). some fine details.
Columbus tubing. there is a bit of chrome flaking on... the chain stay I think it is.
frame only at this point (it's been parted down.)
